Study the Bible in Two Years

Thursday – 2 Chronicles 19-20

1.  Jehoshaphat probably felt that peace withIsraelwas better than war, but he went too far. How does the prophet Jehu describe his actions?  19:2.  What doesSt. Paultell us about allying ourselves with the unbelieving world?  See 2 Corinthians 6:14.

2.  When Jehoshaphat faced major war from the countries to the east, what did he do? See 20:5.  The first sentence of his prayer is something that we want to take to heart when we face situations that seem out of control. What encouragement to your faith do you find in 20:12?

3.  Even before the Lord took care of the invading armies, what did Jehoshaphat lead his people to do?  See 20:20-21.   How is this a real-life example of the true essence of faith?  If you’re not sure, see Hebrews 11:1.
