Study the Bible in Two Years

Wednesday – 2 Chronicles 17-18

1.  The good actions of Jehoshaphat (J4) are highlighted in Chapter 17.  Besides getting rid of the last vestiges of idol worship (17:6), he also put something positive in its place.  What was that?  See 17:9.   Note the same principle in Ephesians 5:22-24.

2.  The biggest mistake Jehoshaphat made is recorded in 18:1. Because of this and Jehoshaphat’s desire for peace withIsrael, the line of the Savior was almost lost.  We’ll see exactly what happens as a result in chapters 21-22.  What are the long term effects today when churches compromise with false teaching and the sins of society?

3. What price did Micaiah have to pay for his unpopular prophecy?  What price do Christians sometimes have to pay for being faithful to God’s Word?
